Chillin’ in Philly

Truly Julie kicking back in Philly.I had the pleasure of visiting my best friend Beth in Philly this weekend. She lives in Old City which is full of historic landmarks, i.e. Liberty Bell….Betsy Ross’ home….Independence Hall, etc. I remember studying up on these places when I was 18 years old…preparing to take my US citizenship test! Up and down Beth’s cobblestone streets are cute boutiques…vintage stores…and artsy furniture shops. Clearly I found a chair large enough to support my gregarious nature:)….but I had to leave it behind given I live in an overpriced shoebox called a Soho apartment. I took the Bolt Bus from NYC to Philly and 2 hours and $14 later…Bam! I was hanging with my BFF of more than 10 years. I recommend Philly for a weekend/day trip. It’s sort of like Brooklyn without the try-so-hard hipsters…laid-back and grounded like Chicago…but definitely has its own edge. Great dining experiences, too…and plenty of restaurants that let you BYO (“bring your own” booze). I’ll drink to that…the great founding fathers of this awesome country (U-S-A…U-S-A!)…and to friendship!

  1. Okay I was born in USA and like many take things for granted about my country. Unlike many, I don’t assume my rights. and my trip to PA was not to curse the Eagles. Independence Hall, Liberty Bell, Constitution Center, and a few other places were my focus because they are important. Although I did not have a pretty bff to visit with, I did…wait, I did have BFF. My Best Founding Fathers. I tried to share a link to few shots.

I am surprised you found a chair four your huge..Personality
