Truly Julie on cloud nine in East Hampton.
I’m weird. I love a good cloudy day at the beach. As long as it’s not pouring…or freezing…or gusting…I love me some clouds. A) it’s dream photography lighting. B) My beach time endurance multiplies by at least 10 (in the scorching sun…I last about 30 minutes). C) When the sun is muted…you can be more daring with funky tanline suits! Case in point, my chic yet just-enough-peekaboo Por Do Sol one piece. Yes…you heard right. ONE PIECE. I think the last time I wore a full piece was in the 8th grade. I just always felt like a bikini broke up my boyish frame better. That is until now. Hot
cutout suits caught on like Laird Hamilton to a surf wave this season. Herve Lerger helped lead the way with bondage swimwear…leaving your mom’s skirt-attached one pieces in the dust. With strategic cutouts either in the middle or sides or both…one pieces are the perfect optical illusionists. You can look sexier…slimmer…and at times…more suggestive with a cutout one piece. Even though it’s more fabric than any bikini! Maybe it was the 50 shades of gray in the Hamptons sky…maybe it’s the fact I’m actually reading the naughty yet ubiquitous 50 shades of grey…whatever it is…I’m feeling the need to explore this S&M-esque suit trend these days. Full piece…full on.
Julie…You are just stunning! End of story. Next topic.
