Bitter Sweet Sale

Truly Julie’s photographs set to debut at Gallery Bar on February 7th. Look how amazing this photo looks in my burgundy hallway?!! It’s about 4 ft tall and 3 ft wide…huge…and the vibrant yet rustic colors look remarkable. I wanna keep it sooooo bad…but I’ll have to let it go. My photography is making its debut at Gallery Bar in the East Village on February 7th! I’m selling two pieces and 100% of the proceeds will go towards helping Haiti. I took the above picture at the market in Hinche…during my trip to Haiti this past October. The lady selling limes had the most beautiful face…yet carried palpable pain in her eyes. I named this piece “Pulp-able pain”…a play on words to include the limes and her intensity. The event will feature works by other photographers (much more experienced than me!)…so I hope you’ll swing on by…invite below. Oh…and FYI…all purchases are 100% tax deductible:) Even though it’s bitter sweet…just like a lime…for me to let this piece go…I find comfort that the money will mean so much to those in Haiti. Because when life hands you limes….you make margaritas??…you get where I’m going.
